Ruptured Achilles!!!
So last Monday, after I scored a beautiful curved high corner goal, I ruptured my achilles. I heard a giant POP! and it felt like someone kicked me and I went down. The pop sound made me think something was definitely wrong. Luckily Chris was at the game so he brought me to the hospital. I waited there while Chris brought the kids to Danny & Marie's. finally I got in and he booked me in for an ultrasound the next day. So Chris brought me in and we had to go through emergency again to get the results. That doc told us it was a complete rupture and made us an appointment for an orthopedic consult. That appointment didn't happen til Friday at the royal Alexander. Chris brought me there and that doc recommended surgery so he put me on the wait list. It was tough waiting to find out when I was going to have surgery. Luckily I wasn't in too much pain. I finally got a call Sunday night to come in that night. We went in late, 9:30, and they put an iv needle in right away. I have tough veins to find and the one she found was on my inner wrist and hurt a lot. I could barely sleep because of it. I also was off food & drink at midnight. I thought surgery was going to be in the morning but it wasn't. We played the waiting game til around 1 when they said the doc had 4 add on surgeries he would start at 5 and I was the second. It was awful laying around in the uncomfortable bed, no food or drink, getting sore and just waiting. I finally had surgery at 7:30. The anesthesiologist made it firm that I could get tooth damage and they were not liable, I didn't like the thought of having to go to the dentist on top of my leg! I didn't like the oxygen mask and found it hard to breathe with it. But I went out fairly quick and woke up to them calling my name in recovery. Once I was alert enough they wheeled me back to my room where Chris was waiting. It was so good to see him. I felt a little nauseous but had some water and ice chips. Then felt like puking and spit up all the water which wasn't much thank goodness! They gave me gravol which helped. Chris left and I slept. I had a pretty good night. I had to have 3 rounds of antibiotics so had to stay til 11. Chris visited me while he was at the sturgeon and then mom and the girls picked me up at 11.i was so glad to be going home. We stopped and got my t3 prescription at Walmart which took 40 mins! It was awful waiting in the van and my leg was sore. Next time I'll go to save on drive thru and just get it done quick. So here I am, at the end of the day. I had a nap, mom baked some pure flax seed muffins, made me supper, did laundry and tending of the kids. I'm so thankful for the help.

Edens take
My daughters and I were planning to play a soccer game but since my husband was at work we were trying to figure out teams. They suggested my youngest daughter who is 3 and I said "No, Eden doesn't count." To which Eden quickly piped in "Yah I do. One, two, three, four, five. See."

Baby bird
I was mowing and saw this little bird by some trees. We looked and looked for where it's nest could be but only saw a freshly carved hole in a tree. So Chris stayed and watched and actually saw a bird come to the hole. So he called me back from mowing to put it back. I put it back and decided to check the base of the tree out. There was another baby! So up in the tree I put it. I'm hoping they survive.
Tonsil & adenoid surgery
Kaiya finally had her giant tonsils removed on May 30, 2013. She hated the taste of the Tylenol they gave her and then the fact that she had to strip down to just undies (no bra!!!)and wear hospital pjs. Chris took her in the operating room and my robot didn't even want to hug me goodbye. She did really well, the doc said she had really big tonsils. Now we are at home on a 1-2 week recovery. She's been in a lot of pain but she really is a toughie.
Moose scat?
We weren't sure if this was from a moose? The prints were huge though. We compared them to Livi's boot.

Raine's view
Kai's friend Cassidy got more kittens and already had one of our cats(named Bill Compton) so I asked Kai "why did she get more?" Kai said "I don't know?" Raine said "Maybe Bill Compton laid more?"

Driveway 2013
Wow! What a year for snow & flooding! Our driveway has been awful this year. There were a few times I couldn't get up the hill and was stuck at home. We spent a lot of time ditching and then harrowing the driveway. I even got to ride the harrow too. Oh and this was the first year I did snow clearing with the quad. No more babies in this house so I have much more freedom! Now April 29 & 30 we got snow! Ridiculous.
The flooding at houses around here has been crazy. Animal rescue had to rescue a horse by boat because the land it was on was so flooded, it looks like a lake. Another house built a make shift raft and it looks like that's how they get from their house to the hwy. another takes a gator back and forth. It's been quite the year.

Eden being Stacey again
She put about three skirts around her neck, a bodysuit around a leg and whatever else she thought looked good. Quite the outfit!
Crime Stoppers Poster contest
Livia won third place in the crime stoppers poster contest. She won $30 and was so excited! And after all the pictures I noticed one pant leg was out of her boot and one wasn't!
Fondue time
Haven't had a fondue in a long time... Last was the stabbing incident of winter of 2007, dark grey skies, an eerie haze over the city and an inexperienced fonduer! Lol! Actually we can't remember the date or anything but we'll always remember the last time we fondued as Chris stabbed himself and still has the scar!
This time we just had a mini fire burst but nothing too bad.

Eden's eye appointment
Another eye appointment for Eden. So she will definitely be going for surgery. We'll have one more appointment in October then will set the date.
Sloppy days
Gramma Rena stayed out for a week in April. Kaiya was hell bent on throwing snowballs and wanting to put snow down our backs. I don't think she realized she was messing with a very able bodied Gramma! Kai took off into the extremely deep snow to get away from gramma but gramma followed her! It was priceless and Kaiya got a lot of snow put everywhere!
